PRIVACY & COOKIES

This page describes how the website is managed with regard to the processing of the personal data of visitors. This notice is also provided under article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, the Personal Data Protection Code, to people interacting with the web services of www.mdsnet.eu, accessible from https://www.mdsnet.eu, the home page of the official Mdsnet S.r.l. website.

The notice applies only to www.mdsnet.eu and not to other websites visitors may access through links. It also draws on Recommendation 2/2001, adopted on 17 May 2001 by European data protection authorities meeting in the group established under article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC, to identify minimum requirements for collecting personal data online, particularly the manner, timing and nature of information controllers must provide when users connect to web pages, regardless of the purpose of the connection. The Recommendation and an outline of its purposes appear on other pages of this website.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Browsing data

The IT systems and software used to operate this website acquire, in their normal operation, personal data whose transmission is implicit in Internet communication protocols. These data are not collected to be associated with identified people, but their nature could allow users to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties. They include IP addresses or domain names of users' computers, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, request times, the method used to submit the request, the size of the response file, the numerical response status (success, error, etc.) and other operating system and IT environment parameters.

These data are used only to obtain anonymous usage statistics and check correct operation, and are deleted immediately after processing. They could be used to establish responsibility for hypothetical computer crimes against the website. Except in that case, web contact data are currently retained for no more than seven days.

Data supplied voluntarily

Optional, explicit and voluntary emails to the addresses listed on this website result in the collection of the sender's address, needed to reply, and any other personal data included in the message. Specific brief notices will progressively be displayed on pages offering particular services on request.

COOKIES

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on a computer when a user visits a website. It stores information the website can read on a later visit. Some cookies are necessary for correct operation, while others help visitors by securely remembering, for example, a username or language settings. Cookies avoid having to enter the same information on every visit.

Why does our website use cookies?

We use cookies to provide customers with a shopping experience tailored as closely as possible to their preferences. Cookies avoid presenting or requesting the same information at every visit and optimise performance, making checkout and product searches easier. We have adopted appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unlawful processing. For further information, consult our privacy notice.

Which cookies do we use, and for what purposes?

Our website uses different types of cookies, each with a specific function.

Browsing cookies

These cookies allow the website to work correctly and show content in your language and for your market from your first visit. They recognise the country you connect from and direct you to the version for your country on subsequent visits. They also allow account creation, login and order management. Registered users can be recognised when accessing services. They recognise purchases through affiliate or partner websites so we can meet our obligations to partners. These cookies are necessary for operation.

Functional cookies

These are not essential for operation but improve the quality of browsing.

Analytics cookies

These cookies are used, for example, by Google Analytics to analyse website browsing through computers or mobile applications, including page counts and clicks. We process the results anonymously and solely for statistical purposes only if the service provider uses cookies in connection with the browser installed on your computer or other browsing device.

How can I disable cookies in my browser?

You can change browser settings to disable cookies. If you do, usernames and passwords will no longer be remembered in the login box. Most browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) are configured to accept cookies, but allow users to control or disable them in settings. Disabling browsing or functional cookies may cause the website to malfunction or limit the service.
